Baylands Updates - July 2026

Road Closure Notice

We would like to make our clients aware of an upcoming road closure affecting access to Baylands Equestrian Centre.

Luton Borough Council, Cadent Gas and Affinity Water have only confirmed the details to us within the last day, and we apologise for the short notice.

From Saturday 25 July, London Road will be closed. Access to Baylands Equestrian Centre will still be available via the London Road North roundabout and Cutenhoe Road. Please note that there will be no access up or down London Road from the park entrance at any time.

Please allow extra time for your journey, as delays are expected.

Any new clients will be required to fill out a rider registration form prior to their first lesson, please feel free to contact us with any queries. We're not always in the office but do leave a message and we'll get back to you ASAP.

Rider Registration Form can be downloaded here for you to print, fill out and bring to your booking, or it can be done on the day.

Hot Weather & Horse Riding Activities

The safety and welfare of our horses and riders is always our top priority. During periods of hot weather, horse riding activities may need to be postponed or cancelled if the heat index reaches a level that could pose a risk to horse or rider wellbeing.

As weather forecasts can change quickly, we aim to contact clients approximately 48 hours before their scheduled activity if there is a possibility that extreme heat may affect arrangements. We will continue to monitor conditions and provide updates as needed.

We appreciate that any changes may be disappointing and apologise for any inconvenience caused. Thank you for your understanding as we put the health, safety, and welfare of both our horses and humans first.
